Snow Warden Scheme for our Parishes - can you help?
Leicestershire County Council (LCC) is launching the Snow Warden scheme again for this year 2021/2022 for the duration of the winter period and the Parish Council is looking for paid volunteers (hourly rate £8.91) willing to take part. We have some critical areas that should be kept clear such as outside the shops and the school.
Duties would include: Reporting on local conditions to LCC - Consulting with LCC and determining what action should be taken - Organise the actions agreed - Clear snow from pre-agreed areas of footway.
All reasonable equipment will be provided for the role and there may be some form of training.
