What a shame!
What a shame that some vandals have decided that painting graffiti on the side of the shed at the Play Field is their idea of fun. Sadly, neither of them are Banksy.
It would be great if they would also go and clean it up...

Section 106 Agreement DECISION - Land behind 38-48 High Street Waltham
Platform HG submitted a request to Melton Borough Council (MBC) Planning Department to vary the Section 106 Agreement for this development, 14/00777/OUT. They wanted the limit of 6 affordable homes (Plots 14 – 19) deleted and to allow for all the properties to be affordable and of various tenures.

The plan to wildflower verges and grassy patches in Waltham on the Wolds and Thorpe Arnold continues to build momentum. BAG IT AND BIN IT!
In an effort to try to keep the pavements and footpaths clear of dog mess, two more dog bag dispensers and dog bins have been installed in Waltham. One is located outside the entrance to the quarry on Bescaby Road and the other is at the top of Mill Lane close to the Mowbray Way, a popular route for dog walkers.

High Street closed for one extra working day
Please be aware that due to the recent bad weather, the High Street will now be closed for an extra working day to complete the drainage works.
It will re-open at the end of the day on Monday 22nd February.
