Public Rights of Way - Research Volunteers

Fruit Tree Pruning Workshop NEW DATE - Saturday 22nd Feb 9.30am

Use of secateurs to prune a branch - gloved hands

Winter is the time to prune fruit trees. Would you like to learn how to do this properly? Come and join the workshop organised by the Waltham on the Wolds Biodiversity Group on Saturday 22nd February, from 9:30 to 12:30. Melton Recycling Centre closed for Refurbishment from Monday 13th January

The Recycling and Household Waste site in Melton Mowbray will be closed for up to four weeks from 13 January 2025 to allow for essential works to be carried out.

The staff building at the site in Lake Terrace, which contains an office, kitchen facilities and toilets, needs to be demolished and replaced on health and safety grounds, as it is no longer up to the required standard.

A1 Maintenance Work starts 20th January for 12 weeks

Work is due to start on safety improvements and a maintenance scheme on the A1 between South Witham and Great Ponton. Work will be carried out overnight Monday to from 8pm to 6am.

Northbound closed: Monday 20th January to Friday 21st March 2025

Southbound closed: Monday 24th March to mid April 2025
